New education material for students

ASIAED supports Prachumporn Pakse Education Resource Centre, Laos

The Prachumporn Pakse Education Resource Centre supports 3 primary and secondary schools in the area. In Pakse there is a teachers training college which I am contacting and hope to work further in sustainable curriculum development, and support their efforts.
Miss Pisamai teaches the primary school of three grades for over 30 students. She has very little resources and relies entirely on the government for her teaching material. The methodology of the Pho Sai Education Resource Centre also applies here, 'Teach the Teachers’, work with end-users on the local level.

ASIAED establised Educational Resource Centres in Pho Sai

Both Ajarn Pim (right) and Ajarn Sathit (left) will meet and train teachers in English to start. This ‘Teach the Teachers’ seems to be a practical approach due to ASIAED’s limited financial resources, and the vastness of the region. At present it is not logical to try and bring interested and participating individuals including targeted end-users to an office environment, but rather 'bring the office to them.' These people (students too) are busy, have limited funds for transportation, and primarily need to stay close to their communities due to their commitments.

Ms Ganta Boontos (center) will conduct community gatherings where business management, education for all and human rights will be discussed.

ASIAED will continue to purchase educational material for Pho Sai Education Resource Centre, which will help support the primary and secondary schools in the area, of over 70 students.
